Environments
Apex uses one workspace key on localhost and on the live site. The key does not pick the environment. Apex classifies the event.
The three buckets a merchant reads on screen are Production, Beta, and Dev. Unclassified exists when Apex cannot tell.

Same key everywhere
Paste the same workspace key in local, preview, and production. Do not make a second workspace to "keep test data out." Filter the dashboard by environment instead.
