Stripe · Measure

Track every Stripe customer back to the channel that acquired them. Revenue, refunds, and churn: the ground truth every model needs.

Apex joins your Stripe customers, subscriptions, and revenue to the first-party sessions that drove them. Every dollar of MRR traces back to a campaign, an experiment, or a partner, in real time.

No credit card to start.

What teams use it for

The questions people actually ask.

  • How do I attribute Stripe subscription revenue back to the marketing channel that drove it?

Apex joins every Stripe customer object to the first-party session that created them. When a Stripe invoice closes, that revenue rolls up by campaign, creative, landing page, and partner in the same dashboard that holds your ad spend. MRR, LTV, and expansion revenue all trace back to their acquisition source without SQL, spreadsheets, or Looker models.

  • Can I pay affiliates based on actual Stripe revenue instead of click counts?

Yes. The Apex Partner Network reads Stripe Connect to compute commissions on the revenue each partner drove, not just the click. Set a percent or a tiered rate per program, versioned per partner, and Apex handles attribution, claw-back on refunds, and payout through the partner's own Stripe Connect account. One 1099 per partner per year, across every merchant in the network.

  • How do I send Stripe subscription events to Meta and Google so the ad platforms learn from real revenue?

Apex's outbound integrations with Meta CAPI and Google Enhanced Conversions (on the near-term roadmap) will fire server-to-server conversion postbacks from Stripe events (first payment, trial-to-paid, upgrade, reactivation). Once that ships, the ad platforms' bidding algorithms start optimising for paying customers instead of form fills or pixel-fired page views — tightening CAC without changing your creative.

FAQ

Stripe and Apex, answered.

  • How does Apex attribute Stripe subscription revenue to marketing channels?

Apex stores a first-party session identifier on every visitor via the Apex snippet (or SDK). When the visitor becomes a Stripe customer, Apex links the new customer object to the identifier, and every subsequent invoice, upgrade, and churn event rolls up under the original acquisition session. The result is a revenue timeline per campaign that you can filter by channel, landing page, experiment variant, or partner.

  • Will Apex write to my Stripe account or modify my billing data?

No. The Stripe integration is read-only. Apex subscribes to webhook events and pulls from the API to build its internal model of your revenue. Your Stripe data stays pristine and Stripe remains the source of truth for billing.

  • Do I need to replace Google Analytics or Mixpanel to use the Stripe integration?

No. Apex runs alongside your existing analytics. Most customers keep GA4 or Mixpanel for behavioural dashboards during migration and use Apex for revenue attribution, experiment evaluation, and partner commissions. When the Apex models prove out, teams usually consolidate, but there is no forced cutover.

  • How is this different from Rewardful or Stripe's built-in reports?

Stripe's built-in reports show you revenue, not its source. Rewardful is a good affiliate tracker but doesn't cover your ads, experiments, or lifecycle messaging. Apex unifies all of that: every paid channel, every experiment variant, every partner, and every Stripe dollar in one belief graph. The same commission engine that pays affiliates also attributes paid ads, tracks experiments, and feeds your lifecycle messaging.

  • Does the integration work with Stripe Connect for marketplaces and platforms?

Yes. Apex supports Stripe Connect accounts directly. For marketplaces, Apex sees both platform-level charges and connected-account charges, so you can attribute seller-level revenue back to the acquisition channel that onboarded the seller. Partner commissions route through each partner's own Stripe Connect account with no new KYC per merchant.

  • How long does it take to backfill historical Stripe data?

Typical Stripe accounts with a few years of history backfill in under an hour. Larger enterprise accounts with millions of invoices can take several hours; Apex performs the backfill in the background so you can start using the connector immediately with new events while history fills in.

  • Does Apex support multi-currency Stripe subscriptions?

Yes. Apex stores each transaction in its native currency and applies daily exchange rates for roll-ups into your reporting currency. You can report on CAC and LTV in any currency Stripe supports, and Apex handles the conversion automatically for experiment evaluation and commission math.

  • What happens to attributed revenue if a customer churns or gets a refund?

Every attribution Apex makes is reversible. When Stripe fires a refund, dispute, or cancellation event, Apex claws back the attributed revenue from the relevant campaign, experiment, or partner in real time. Commission ledgers for partners are updated in the same pass, so your payout math never drifts from truth.
