LinkedIn Ads · Both

See which LinkedIn campaigns close actual deals. B2B ad measurement that actually ties spend to pipeline.

LinkedIn is usually the most expensive B2B channel and the least measurable. Apex reads LinkedIn Ads spend and lead-gen submissions, then pushes HubSpot deal revenue back through the LinkedIn Conversions API so bidding optimises against pipeline, not form fills.

What teams use it for

The questions people actually ask.

  • How do I attribute LinkedIn ad spend to the deals that actually closed months later?

Apex joins LinkedIn form-fill submissions and ad click data to the contact record in HubSpot. When the deal closes (which for B2B often takes 30-180 days), Apex credits that revenue back to the LinkedIn campaign, ad creative, and audience that first touched the contact. Pipeline velocity, CAC, and LTV by LinkedIn campaign, all in one view.

  • Can I send HubSpot deal revenue back to LinkedIn through the Conversions API?

Yes. When a HubSpot deal moves to Closed Won, Apex fires a conversion through the LinkedIn Conversions API with the contact's hashed email and the deal value. LinkedIn's bidding engine then optimises for the kinds of accounts that actually buy, not just the ones who fill out a form.

  • Can Apex score LinkedIn-sourced contacts using firmographic + behavioural signals?

Yes. LinkedIn form-fill data (title, company, industry, seniority) combines with product behaviour captured by Apex.js to produce one engagement score per contact. The score writes back to HubSpot and informs both your sales outreach and your LinkedIn ad audience targeting.

What flows in

What Apex receives from LinkedIn Ads.

From LinkedIn Ads

  • Campaign, ad group, and creative-level cost and performance
  • Impressions, clicks, social actions, and video views
  • Lead gen form submissions with UTM and campaign context
  • Company and job title audiences applied to campaigns

What it powers

Where this data shows up.

  • Intelligence

B2B account scoring uses LinkedIn firmographic signals alongside product behavior to surface accounts worth prioritizing.

  • Experiments

Measure the incremental impact of LinkedIn campaigns against a held-out control using Apex's experiment engine.

  • Communications

Send qualified conversions back through the LinkedIn Conversions API so bidding learns from downstream pipeline, not top-of-funnel noise.

FAQ

LinkedIn Ads and Apex, answered.

  • What's the LinkedIn Conversions API and why does it matter?

The Conversions API is LinkedIn's server-side endpoint for sending qualified conversion events. Unlike the client-side Insight Tag, it survives ad blockers and privacy restrictions. LinkedIn uses the events to optimise bidding, measure campaign ROI, and build lookalike audiences. Apex sends every qualified Apex event through the Conversions API automatically.

  • How long can LinkedIn attribute a deal back to an ad click?

LinkedIn's default attribution window is 30 days for post-view and 30 days for post-click. Apex extends this for internal reporting, if a contact clicked a LinkedIn ad 90 days ago and their deal just closed, Apex still credits LinkedIn in the Apex dashboard. LinkedIn's own reporting stays within their window.

  • Does it support LinkedIn Lead Gen forms?

Yes. Lead gen form submissions flow into Apex directly through the LinkedIn API with full campaign context, ad creative, and audience metadata. Form responses create a contact in HubSpot (if connected) and the company + title data feeds the Apex firmographic model.

  • Can I measure campaigns against specific account lists?

Yes. Apex supports ABM-style measurement: upload a list of target accounts (or sync from HubSpot), and Apex reports LinkedIn campaign performance against that list specifically. See which ads drive impressions, clicks, and revenue within your ICP versus outside it.

  • How is this different from Dreamdata or Bizible?

Dreamdata and Bizible focus specifically on B2B multi-touch attribution across channels. Apex does the same attribution as part of a broader unified growth platform that also runs your experiments, lifecycle messaging, and revenue model. The LinkedIn integration is one of many, but the data lives in the same intelligence layer as everything else.

  • Do I need HubSpot for deal attribution, or can it work with Salesforce / Pipedrive?

HubSpot is the deepest integration today. Salesforce and Pipedrive integrations are on the roadmap and in limited preview. If you're on another CRM, you can push deal-stage transitions into Apex via webhook and the attribution still works, the HubSpot integration just automates the wiring.

  • What's a realistic ROI lift from moving to server-side conversions?

Teams typically see LinkedIn CAC drop 10-30% within a few months of enabling the Conversions API, because bidding learns from real downstream revenue instead of the pixel-only form submissions (which LinkedIn sees far fewer of due to blockers and privacy rules). The lift is faster on high-intent campaigns and slower on top-of-funnel.
